IEEE SPS CET conducted a webinar on LoRaWAN technology.

Amidst the season of an ongoing pandemic, IEEE SPS CET planned to arrange a webinar to wake the lazy dead minds during this quarantine period.

It was open to every student irrespective of the department and the college that they come from. We asked for registrations through a Google Form.

There were 51 participants for the webinar which was conducted via Google Meet. The webinar was conducted by Basil Mathai , ex-chairperson of RoboCET.

The webinar was conducted in a smooth manner with no glitches in between. He talked with the help of a presentation, which was mailed to the participants who registered through the Google Form. The webinar was conducted in a very simple manner and all things were explained in a manner in which a beginner can also understand. He compared the LoRaWAN technology with many known technologies like Wi-Fi systems, so that we can understand LoRaWAN (a new emerging technology) much better.
