WIE Affinity Group of IEEE SB CET conducted an online Essay Writing Competition - ‘Femystique’ as part of International Women’s Day.

With boredom hitting in strong, and in the wake of International Women’s day, WIE Affinity Group of IEEE SB CET organized an online Essay Writing Competition to give people something to think about other than Sexism and Religion and keep their minds away from the ongoing pandemic, on Women Empowerment. A word limit of 100 words was set. It was open to everyone ranging from school students to working people and got active participation with around 23 entries. Submissions were made via email. The original deadline was set for March 18th but since reach was limited, the deadline was extended to March 31st. The essays were judged by Aparna R Jayan, Vice-chairperson of LitSoc, the Literary Society of College of Engineering, Trivandrum and the winner was decided to be Neha Maria Antony. The participants will be issued IEEE certificates and the winner, a memento.
